Stuffed Green Peppers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 large green peppers, halved
    1/2 lb. ground beef
    1 c. cooked rice
    1/2 large onion, chopped
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Remove seeds from peppers.
    Boil the pepper halves in salted water for 5 minutes.
    Drain.
    Brown ground beef and onions.
    Mix remaining ingredients with the beef.
    Stuff peppers with this mixture.
    Bake, covered, for about 20 minutes. Top with sliced cheese, if desired, and bake 10 minutes, uncovered.
