Sirloin Tips En Brochette - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. high quality beef sirloin tip, cut into 1 1/4-inch cubes
    1 (10 1/2 oz.) can condensed beef consomme
    1/3 c. sherry or if desired apple juice
    2 Tbsp. soy sauce
    2 cloves garlic, crushed
    1/4 tsp. plus 1 tsp. cornstarch
Preparation
    Place meat in ungreased baking dish, 13 1/2 x 9 x 2-inch. Heat remaining ingredients except cornstarch to boiling.
    Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, 5 minutes. Cool.
    Pour consomme mixture over meat.
    Cover tightly.
    Refrigerate at least 3 hours, turning meat occasionally.
    Thread 4 or 5 cubes of meat on each of 6 to 8 skewers.
