Clam Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    10 slices bacon
    1 large chopped onion
    4 large cubed potatoes
    4 large cubed carrots
    2 (10 oz.) cans clams
    1/2 lb. chopped shrimp
    1 qt. half and half cream
    2 c. hot water
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Brown bacon in large pot.
    Take out, crumble and return to pot.
    Add
    onions;\tcook
    until clear.
    Add water and juice from clams.
    Add potatoes and carrots; cook until tender.
    Add cream, clams and
    shrimp*.
    Cook until sauce thickens or until you can't wait anymore.
    Tastes better if aged overnight!
