Panned Oysters - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    6 slices white toast
    24 medium oysters, shucked
    salt
    freshly ground pepper
Preparation
    Cream butter with lemon juice; spread on toast.
    Quarter each slice.
    Place an oyster on each quarter; sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper.
    Place on a baking sheet and bake 5 to 6 minutes or just long enough to plump oysters.
    Makes 24 pieces.
