Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 large eggs
    1 c. sugar
    1/3 c. maple syrup
    5 slices bread
    1 large can evaporated milk
    1 qt. fresh milk
    2 tsp. vanilla
    nutmeg
    raisins (if desired)
Preparation
    Beat eggs; add sugar and mix.
    Add syrup and canned milk.
    Add bread, crumbled, and mix well.
    Add fresh milk and vanilla.
    Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a 9 x 12-inch pan.
    Pour half into batter. Pour mixture into pan.
    Sprinkle with raisins if desired, then sprinkle with nutmeg.
    Bake until center of pudding puffs, about 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
