Ginger Ale Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 sticks margarine or butter
    2 tsp. lemon extract
    5 eggs
    3/4 c. ginger ale
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    3 c. all-purpose flour
Preparation
    Cream butter and shortening.
    Add sugar; continue to cream until smooth.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each.
    Add flavoring, then add flour and ginger ale alternately.
    Bake in a tube pan at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
    Freezes very well.
