Hungarian Goulash Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. lean beef
2 onions
1 small carrot
1 bell pepper
1 c. canned tomatoes
1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. paprika powder
pepper and garlic powder to taste
1/2 c. half and half
Preparation

Cut meat in bite size cubes.
Peel onion and cut in rings. Peel and cut carrot in slices.
Wash bell pepper, remove inside kernels and cut in strips.
Leave canned tomatoes in the juice, but cut them in pieces.
Melt butter or margarine.
Add onions and meat and brown for 5 minutes while stirring.
Add carrots and bell pepper, stewed tomatoes and spices.
Mix well and stir in 1/2-quart water.
Cover and simmer for 1 hour.
Stir in half and half right before serving.
