Chile Con Carne - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. red kidney beans (3 cans)
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 green pepper, chopped
    1 lb. beef or venison hamburger (optional)
    1 lb. can tomatoes (2 c.)
    1 (8 oz.) can (1 c.) tomato paste
    1 1/2 tsp. chile pepper (more for hotter chile)
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Brown onion, green pepper and meat in hot frypan.
    Add beans, tomatoes, tomato paste and seasonings.
    Cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours, stirring often.
