Peanut Brittle(Microwave) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. raw peanuts
    1/2 c. white Karo syrup
    1 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    1 Tbsp. baking soda
Preparation
    In a deep 2-quart microwave pan, mix the first 3 ingredients together.
    Cook on High power for 7 to 9 minutes, stirring occasionally, until mixture bubbles and peanuts become brown.
    Add the butter and vanilla; cook 2 1/2 more minutes on High.
    Then stir in the baking soda until it foams and is well mixed.
    Working fast, spoon onto a greased cookie sheet, spreading as evenly as possible.
    Cool for 15 minutes and break into pieces.
    Makes 1 pound and 3 ounces.
