Chow Mein Or Chop Suey(Serve Chow Mein Over Chinese Noodles; Serve Chop Suey Over Rice.) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large broiler chicken, cooked tender and boned, or 1 1/2 lb. stew beef, cut in bite size pieces and cooked tender
    2 c. diced celery
    1 large onion, diced
    1 diced bell pepper
    1 can mushroom stems and pieces
    2 cans chop suey vegetables
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 Tbsp. soy sauce
    5 Tbsp. cornstarch
Preparation
    Cook fresh vegetables with cooked meat for about 10 minutes. Add canned vegetables, reserving liquid from one can.
    Add cornstarch and soy sauce to liquid, then add to vegetables and meat.
    Cook only until thick.
    Serve over noodles or rice while hot.
    Serves 6.
