Raspberry Sorbet - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. water
    3/4 c. sugar
    4 c. fresh raspberries or 2 (12 oz. each) bags frozen raspberries, thawed
    3 Tbsp. raspberry flavored Schnapps or berry flavored liqueur
    1 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
    mint sprigs for garnish
Preparation
    Heat water and sugar in large saucepan over medium heat until boiling.
    Reduce heat and simmer gently until sugar is completely dissolved.
    Cool.
    Press raspberries through wire mesh sieve over medium bowl to remove seeds (yields about 2 cups juice).
    Combine juice, sugar, syrup, raspberries, Schnapps and lemon juice in large bowl.
