Elegant Toffee - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. unblanched sliced almonds
    1 c. butter
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
    2 c. finely ground walnuts
Preparation
    On a foil lined baking sheet, arrange almonds in a single layer over a 12 x 7-inch area.
    In 2-quart saucepan, combine butter, sugar, vanilla and salt.
    Cook over high heat, stirring constantly with clean, dry spoon, until butter is melted. Continue cooking and stirring, 5 to 7 minutes (until mixture is the color of unbleached almonds).
    Immediately pour over almonds; do not scrape pan.
    Cool completely.
    Melt chocolate chips and break toffee into pieces and dip into melted chocolate.
    Sprinkle walnuts on top.
