Old Fashioned Tea Cakes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. shortening, butter or margarine
1 3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
enough flour to make a stiff dough (about 4 c.)
Preparation

Cream together first 4 ingredients.
Add flour gradually until dough is stiff.
Roll out on floured board.
Cut and bake on cookie sheet at 375\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
If you are in a hurry to bake cookies do not roll them out; instead drop on cookie sheet with a spoon and flatten to right thickness, then bake.
