Mountaineer Apple Pie - cooking recipe

7 c. thinly sliced apples
1/3 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. granulated sugar
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. melted butter
2 pie pastries
2 Tbsp. milk
2 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation

Combine apples, sugars, cornstarch, spices and salt and let stand while preparing crust. Fit bottom pastry in an 8-inch pie pan. Fill with apple mixture. Drizzle with melted butter. Top with other pie pastry. Seal and flute edges. Brush top crust with milk. Then sprinkle lightly with sugar. Bake at 400\u00b0 for 50 to 55 minutes.
