Ingredients

1 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. evaporated milk
2 Tbsp. salad oil
1 egg white
6 Tbsp. water
2 to 3 large onions
Preparation

Sift flour and salt together; add evaporated milk, salad oil and egg whites, beating until smooth.
Add water, making medium thin batter.
Peel and slice onions about 1/4-inch thick; dip into batter (coat well) and lower into hot fat (375\u00b0).
Fry until golden brown.
Remove with slotted spoon or fork; drain on paper towel and salt.
