Quick Corn Light Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. self-rising corn meal
1 c. self-rising flour, sifted
1/2 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. melted shortening
2 1/4 c. buttermilk
Preparation

Sift dry ingredients.
Stir in shortening and buttermilk.
Pour into greased loaf pan.
Allow to stand 15 minutes, then bake about 45 minutes at 375\u00b0.
Cover pan with tea towel and let cool.
