Double Decker Pastry - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 c. flour
    1 c. sugar
    4 tsp. baking powder
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 lb. butter or margarine
    2 Tbsp. vegetable shortening
    4 egg yolks
    1/2 pt. sour cream
    1 tsp. vanilla
    pinch of salt
    10 oz. ground nuts (walnuts or pecans)
    1/2 c. sugar
    prune filling or thick jam
Preparation
    Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder and soda and salt. Add shortening.
    Add egg yolks, sour cream and vanilla.
    Blend until dough forms.
    Divide into 3 portions.
    Roll between waxed paper as for jelly roll.
    Remove paper.
