Apple Chutney(Indian Condiment) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 chopped Pippin apples
    1/2 chopped onion
    1/2 seeded and chopped lemon
    1/4 c. chopped red bell pepper
    2 Tbsp. minced ginger
    1 clove pressed garlic
    1/3 c. cider
    2/3 c. brown sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Mix first 6 ingredients in a pan over high heat.
    Combine cider and brown sugar.
    Add apple mixture and salt.
    Simmer until reduced to 2 cups.
    Cool.
    Serve with ham or curried dishes.
    Serves 10.
