Vickie'S Hamburger Vegetable Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 to 1 lb. hamburger
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    2 c. canned tomatoes
    2 c. potato cubes
    2 medium sliced carrots
    1/2 c. diced celery
    2 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. rice
    1/8 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Brown meat and onions lightly in 2 tablespoons fat. Add rest of ingredients. Add 1 1/2 quarts water and simmer slowly 3/4 to 1 hour.
