Southern Pecan Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. maple syrup
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. pecans
    3 Tbsp. butter
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Put syrup in saucepan.
    Bring to full boil and boil for 8 minutes.
    (Watch carefully.)
    Remove from heat and cool for 15 minutes.
    Cream together butter, sugar, salt and flour.
    Then add eggs, vanilla and syrup.
    Beat well.
    Line a 9-inch unbaked pie crust with 1 1/2 cups broken-up pecans.
    Pour mixture into pie crust.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 10 minutes, then lower heat to 350\u00b0 and bake for 45 minutes longer or until puffed on top.
