Tortilla Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small onion, chopped
    1 (4 oz.) can chopped green chilies
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1 c. tomatoes, peeled and chopped
    1 can beef bouillon
    1 can chicken broth
    1 1/2 c. water
    1 1/2 c. V-8 juice
    1 tsp. cumin, salt and chili powder
    2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1 Tbsp. bottled steak sauce
    3 to 6 tortillas, cut into 1/2-inch strips
    1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    1 to 2 c. cooked shredded chicken (if desired)
Preparation
    Saut onion, chilies and garlic in oil until soft.
    Add the remaining ingredients except tortillas and cheese.\tBring to a boil, then lower heat and simmer covered for 1 hour.
    Add tortillas and cheese and simmer 10 minutes longer.
