Meat Loaf Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. ground beef
    1/2 lb. sausage
    1 egg
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    4 c. water
    1 large envelope onion soup mix
    1 (16 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
    1 can red kidney beans, drained
    1 can diced carrots, drained
    1 c. Minute rice
Preparation
    Mix thoroughly beef, sausage, egg, salt and pepper and make into small meatballs.
    Cook in a 350\u00b0 oven until done.
    Boil water and add soup mix.
    Let simmer, covered, for 10 minutes.
    Add meatballs, tomatoes, kidney beans and carrots.
    Simmer all ingredients for 15 minutes, covered.
    Add 1 cup of Minute rice. Remove from heat and let stand 5 minutes, covered.
