Gold Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 egg yolks
    1 c. sugar
    3/4 c. butter (generous)
    1/2 c. sweet milk
    1 1/2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder (heaping)
    1 tsp. lemon extract
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add well-beaten egg yolks.
    Sift dry ingredients.
    Add alternately with milk.
    Add flavoring.
    Bake in a loaf pan at 350\u00b0 until a crack develops on top and the cake tester comes out clean.
