Broccoli Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped broccoli
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    2 c. half and half cream
    dash of cayenne pepper (can omit)
    1 1/4 c. chicken broth
    3 Tbsp. butter
    1 1/2 Tbsp. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. basil
Preparation
    In a saucepan, cook chicken broth, broccoli and onion.
    Bring to a boil; simmer over low heat for 5 minutes.
    Make a paste of butter and flour.
    Gradually add to mixture.
    Stirring constantly, add remaining ingredients.
    Cook until hot.
    Do not boil.
