Poor Man'S Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. raisins
1 c. water
1/2 c. oleo
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 egg, well beaten

Preparation

Cook raisins in water for a short time adding the oleo until it melts.
Then mix all ingredients together and bake in a greased and floured 9 x 12-inch pan for 20 to 25 minutes at 350\u00b0.
Ice with either frosting or powdered sugar while still warm.
