Dipped Strawberries - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. medium fresh strawberries
    1 2/3 c. vanilla baking chips
    2 Tbsp. shortening, divided
    1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preparation
    Wash and stem strawberries. Pat with paper towel until completely dry. In microwave or double boiler, melt vanilla chips with 1 tablespoon shortening. Dip strawberry until 2/3 of berry is coated, allowing the excess to drip off. Place on wax paper lined tray. Refrigerate 30 minutes or until set. Melt chocolate chips and 1 tablespoon shortening. Dip each berry until 1/3 coated. Return to tray. Refrigerate for 30 minutes or until set. Makes 2 1/2 to 3 dozen.
