Alice'S Corn Meal Muffin - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. corn meal
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    4 tsp. sugar
    1 c. all-purpose flour
    4 tsp. oil or melted shortening
    1 1/4 c. milk
    1 egg, beaten
Preparation
    Sift all dry ingredients together, then add oil (shortening). Combine milk and beaten egg into first mixture, just enough to moisten well.
    Fill greased muffin pan.
    Fill only 2/3 full.
    Bake in hot oven (400\u00b0) for 25 minutes.
