Apricot Pineapple Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large or 2 small pkg. orange jello
    2 c. hot water
    1 egg
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 heaping Tbsp. flour
    grated American cheese
    1 large can apricots, drained (reserve juice)
    1 large can pineapple, drained (reserve juice)
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 c. Cool Whip
Preparation
    Mash apricots.\tAdd hot water to jello.
    Stir and add 1 1/2 cups fruit\tjuice.\tStir and add the drained pineapple and apricots.
    Stir.
    Let
    jello
    set
    until firm.
    Cook following mixture until
    thick:
    1
    cup
    juice
    from\tfruit, egg, sugar, butter and flour.
    Cool.
    Fold
    in\tCool Whip.
    After jello is set, top with
    this
    mixture
    and then top with grated cheese. Chill until ready to serve.
