Pickled Beets - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. small beets
    2 c. vinegar
    1 c. water
    1 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. whole cloves
Preparation
    Boil little beets until done; peel and fill jars while hot. Make a syrup with vinegar, water, sugar and cloves.
    Fill jars with hot syrup and seal at once.
