Dan Melvin'S Crisp Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 Tbsp. oil or Crisco
    1/4 c. self-rising flour
    1/4 tsp. light salt
    3/4 c. milk
    3/4 c. corn meal
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 egg
Preparation
    Preheat an 8-inch iron skillet (hot).
    Sift all dry ingredients together.
    Add eggs and milk.
    Mix well.
    Pour batter into the iron skillet.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for about 20 minutes or until done.
