Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. cornmeal
    1 c. flour
    4 tsp. baking powder
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. melted shortening
    1 egg
Preparation
    Mix dry ingredients.
    Add milk, shortening and beaten egg. Mix well. Bake at 425\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes in an 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan, well-greased.
