Woodland Nut Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 3/4 c. sifted flour
1 3/4 c. sugar
2 rounded tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 level tsp. salt
1 c. Crisco (scant)
4 eggs, unbeaten
1 c. milk
1 tsp. almond extract
1 tsp. orange extract
1/2 c. finely chopped walnuts
1/2 c. finely chopped pecans
Preparation

Sift 2 3/4 cups flour.
Add sugar and salt and baking powder. Sift thoroughly.
Drop in Crisco.
Add milk and extracts and 2 eggs.
Beat for 2 minutes at low speed.
Add remaining 2 eggs. Beat 2 minutes more at low speed.
Add chopped nuts and blend. Bake in 9 x 13-inch pan or tube pan for 40 to 45 minutes at 350\u00b0. Very good topped with a cream cheese frosting.
