Ingredients

2 Tbsp. butter, melted
2 or 3 onions, sliced
1 bay leaf
1 c. dry red wine
2 cans consomme
1 can water
Preparation

Saute onions in butter until tender.
Add remaining ingredients and simmer 20 minutes.
Put soup in bowls.
Add toasted garlic bread.
Top with Mozzarella cheese and add grated Parmesan or Romano cheese.
Brown in oven.
