Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/4 c. self-rising cornmeal
    3 Tbsp. self-rising flour
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    1 c. milk
Preparation
    Combine cornmeal, flour and onion in a bowl.
    Mix lightly. Add egg and blend well.
    Gradually add milk and blend.
    Let set in refrigerator for 1 hour.
    Drop by teaspoonfuls into hot oil.
    Fry to a golden brown.
