Candy Strawberries - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry jello
    1 c. ground nuts
    1 c. flaked coconut
    3/4 c. condensed milk (sweetened)
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    red decorator's sugar
    blanched almonds, sliced
Preparation
    Combine dry gelatin, nuts and coconut.
    Stir in milk and vanilla.
    Mix well.
    Chill 1 hour or longer.
    Shape into strawberries and roll in red sugar.
    Tint sliced almonds with green food coloring in small bottle, shake well dry almonds on wax paper. Insert one sliced almond in top of berries to form leaves.
    These make accents on cookie trays.
