Swedish Rye Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. lukewarm water
1 envelope yeast
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. molasses
3 c. rye flour
1 1/4 Tbsp. shortening
white flour (as needed)
Preparation

Mix together the first five ingredients; let it rise until double in size.
Add salt and shortening; mix together and add enough
white flour to make a soft dough (not sticky or too stiff).
Let rise until double in bulk.
Put in two loaf pans; let rise until almost double.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 55 minutes to one hour.
