Beef Chili - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. ground beef
1 clove garlic, minced
1 to 2 Tbsp. chili powder
1 (1 lb.) can kidney beans or cooked pinto beans
1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes
1 onion, chopped
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/3 Tbsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. basil
1/2 c. dry red wine
1 green pepper, seeded and chopped (optional)
Tabasco to taste (optional)
Cheddar cheese, shredded (for garnish)
Preparation

Cook beef with garlic, onion, green pepper and chili powder. Add the remaining ingredients and simmer for 1 to 1 1/2 hours, until thick.
Stir occasionally.
Serve garnished with shredded cheese.
