Hamburger Corn-Pone Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1/3 c. chopped onion
    1 Tbsp. shortening
    2 tsp. chili powder
    1 c. corn bread batter
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1 c. canned tomatoes
    1 c. drained canned kidney beans
Preparation
    Brown meat and onion in melted shortening.
    Add seasoning and tomatoes.
    Cover and simmer over low heat for 15 minutes.
    Add kidney beans.
    Pour into a greased casserole.
    Top with corn bread batter and bake in a hot oven at 425\u00b0 for 20 minutes. Serves 4.
    Serve with cabbage and carrot slaw, orange and banana cup and brownies.
