Satin Pie For Angels - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 baked 9-inch pastry or crumb shell
2 egg yolks, beaten
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. milk
pinch of salt
1 Tbsp. unflavored gelatin
1/2 c. cold water
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 pt. heavy cream, whipped
2 egg whites
toasted almonds
Preparation

Cook in double boiler until thick: egg yolks, sugar, milk and salt.
Add gelatin which has been dissolved in cold water.
Cool. Add vanilla, stiffly beaten egg whites and whipped cream.
Pour mixture into baked pie shell.
Sprinkle with toasted almonds and chill until ready to serve.
Makes a light dessert.
