Rice With Black Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 Tbsp. oil
    1 (14 1/2 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
    1 (16 oz.) can black beans
    1 tsp. oregano leaves
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    1 1/2 c. Minute instant brown rice
Preparation
    Cook and stir onion in hot oil until tender, but not browned. Add tomatoes, beans, oregano and garlic powder.
    Bring to boil. Stir in rice.
    Cover, reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes.
    Remove from heat and let stand 5 minutes.
    Makes 9 servings.
