Jane'S Sweet Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. lime
    1 gal. cucumbers, cut in chunks
    3 qt. vinegar
    8 c. sugar
    2 tsp. salt
    1/2 box pickle spices
Preparation
    Soak cucumbers 24 hours in lime mixed with water to cover. Rinse and soak in clear water for 2 hours.
    Drain and add vinegar, sugar, salt and spices.
    Simmer for 2 1/2 hours; pack in jars and seal.
