Shepherd'S Pie - cooking recipe

2 lb. ground chuck
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. thyme
2 Tbsp. flour
1/2 c. tomato juice
3 eggs
4 c. warm mashed potatoes
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
In a large skillet, cook beef with salt and thyme, stirring occasionally until browned.
Drain juice into a small pitcher.
Stir flour and tomato juice into beef.
Beat eggs into warmed mashed potatoes until smooth.
Line bottom and sides of a 10-inch pie pan with 1/2 potato mixture.
Heaping up center, fill \"crust\" with meat mixture.
Spread remaining potato mixture on top, sealing around well.
Bake 30 minutes, then broil until top is golden brown.
Serve hot with reserved juice.
