Pepper Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. chuck, cut in thin strips
    1/4 c. oil
    1 clove minced garlic
    1 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. Soy sauce
    1/4 c. water
    1 c. green pepper, sliced
    1 c. celery, sliced
    1 c. onion, thinly sliced
    1 Tbsp. corn starch
    1 c. water
    2 tomatoes cut in eights
Preparation
    Brown beef in
    oil. Add garlic.
    Cook until yellow.
    Remove garlic.
    Add soy sauce, salt and
    1/4 c. water.
    Cook slowly 45 minutes until beef is tender.
    Add vegetables (not tomatoes). Cook until tender.
    Stir corn starch into 1 cup water and thicken gravy.
    Add tomatoes, cook 5 more minutes.
    Serve with rice.
