Sweet And Sour Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 head cabbage (red or white), shredded
    3/4 c. cider vinegar
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/4 c. water
    1 tsp. caraway seed
    1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 large onion, chopped
Preparation
    Melt butter on bottom of large pot; add chopped onion, then shredded cabbage.
    Mix vinegar, sugar and water and pour over top; add caraway seed.
    Put on stove, covered, and cook about 1 hour or more, stirring every 15 minutes until tender.
    Add more water if it gets too dry.
