Lamb Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. lean lamb, cut into 1-inch cubes
    1 Tbsp. oil
    2 c. water
    2 bay leaves
    1 tsp. thyme
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    8 medium carrots, quartered
    4 small onions, quartered
    4 small potatoes, quartered
    1 c. dry wine or beef broth
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/4 c. water
Preparation
    Brown lamb and add water, bay leaves, thyme, garlic, pepper, carrots, onions, potatoes, and wine or beef broth.
    Cover and cook 45 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
    Thicken with cornstarch and water.
    Six 1 1/4 cup servings.
