Basic Cream Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    5 Tbsp. flour (can use part cornstarch)
    2 c. low-fat milk
    3 egg yolks, beaten
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Mix sugar with flour.
    Add a little of the cold milk and egg yolks.
    Heat rest of the milk until hot.
    Add egg mixture and cook on medium heat until thick, stirring constantly.
    Add vanilla last.
