Microwave Wine And Herb Stewed Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. whole broiler-fryer chicken
    1 small onion, cut into 4 wedges, divided
    2 cloves garlic, peeled and divided
    1 (10 1/2 oz.) can condensed beef consomme
    1/2 c. white wine
    1/2 c. water
    1 tsp. dried rosemary leaves
    1 tsp. dried marjoram leaves
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/2 c. rice
Preparation
    Rinse chicken under cool running water and pat dry.
    Place 1 onion wedge and 1 clove garlic inside cavity.
    Cut remaining garlic cloves in half and rub on chicken skin.
    Discard cut garlic.
