Nut Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    1/3 c. margarine, melted
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 egg yolk
    2 c. Bisquick baking mix
    1/2 c. corn syrup
    2 Tbsp. margarine
    1 (6 oz.) bag butterscotch chips
    1 can salted peanuts or mixed nuts
Preparation
    Mix the brown sugar, 1/3 cup margarine, vanilla and egg yolk with a fork in an ungreased 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Stir in Bisquick (will be crumbly).
    Press into pan.
    Bake for 15 to 20 minutes in a 350\u00b0 oven, or until light brown.
    Cool.
    Melt together the corn syrup, 2 tablespoons margarine and chips; cool.
    Spread over baked crust.
    Sprinkle with nuts; press in lightly.
    Refrigerate until firm.
    Can be frozen.
