7 Layer Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    Head of lettuce
    1 small onion (diced)
    1 medium bell pepper (diced)
    1 8 oz. pkg. frozen green peas
    2 cups mayonnaise (can add tsp. sugar if desired)
    1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
    6 bacon strips cooked, drained, and crumbled
Preparation
    Break or cut lettuce into 4 qt. corning ware or pyrex dish. Layer onion, pepper, and frozen peas as listed.
    Whip mayonnaise and spread on top of peas.
    Sprinkle cheese over the mayonnaise. Crumble bacon strips and sprinkle on top of the salad. Cover and refrigerate.
    Best if made the night before.
