Pork Chop And Onion Rice Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 pork chops
    1 envelope dry onion soup mix
    hot water
    1 c. uncooked rice
    1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Place chops in single layer in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish.
    Brown in oven (or brown in skillet). Remove chops and pour off fat.
    Spread rice evenly in bottom of baking dish and sprinkle with onion soup mix.
    Drain mushrooms, reserving liquid, and distribute mushrooms evenly over rice.
    Add hot water to reserved mushroom liquid to total 3 cups.
    Pour over rice.
    Arrange browned chops on top and cover tightly.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes to 1 hour or until all liquid is absorbed.
